240sx = new rice boy fav

I live in GA, reside in Alpharetta, frequently commute around Metro Atlanta, and guess one thing I've noticed this Summer that's different compared to last year: there are less riced up Hondas than 240sx's. I hate this; I hate the fact that all the ricers out there know about 240's. I've been saving up for an RPS13 since 2002, and I still don't have the money partially b/c of family issues. You know what infuriates me even more? The fact that these ricers (besides Mexicans with "riced"(?) up Mustangs) are stupidass rich kids who use their parents' money to buy their cars (hence their idiotic ways of life by ricing up their Honda Civics with D series motors) and don't have to suffer through the pain of save up and actually working 2-3 jobs. Kids on NICO know what I mean.

Eh...first 240 was a joint thing between my parents and me...the initial purchase at least.

I was stupid (paniced), and over corrected causing in a nice crash. Boom totalled.

My new 240 is a solo venture, of course I have my friends helping me, but this is MY car.

I guess kids need to learn the hard way...like me.

The new rice car around here is the cavalier. GOD i HATE those cars. 240s are still pretty rare around the Milwaukee area.

I bought and paid for both my cars with my own money.. paid for insurrance with my own money and now i'm left with a broken 240 that i am paying with my own money for another motor and putting it in with my own spare time.. lol i know what money means to me

Yeah I expected NICO members would know the value of money. But I really hope this new 240 trend doesn't lead ricers here.

its been doing that for a while man.. never notice how most honda owners are saying i want a 240.. or i'm selling my car to get one with an sr... trust me its happening and its happening fast

Yeah I just came back from an Asian used car dealer and those mechanics are building up an SR powered 93 fastback in their garage. They're Viets (typical ricers), so I duno...And I duno what a riced up 240 would look like. But they're mechanics; they can't be ricers.

mostly people mod up cavaliers around here. THe 240 is few and far between. Also alot of mustangs and fbodies

conspicuous consumption. A few years ago it was young guys exclusively. Now I see cars with giant body kits, exhaust, and window tint, and its chicks or older guys driving them. a LOT of girls wanna the riceboy look these days. And I see a bunch of really nice fast cars being driven by young guys driving their parents money around. I guess this has always been the case (?) but I never noticed it because they were driving mustang GT's before but now they have evo's and WRX's or twin turbo supras and 300zx's.

My parents are getting me a car but The weird thing is that I want a job but the problem is that I am geting sent military school so I can't unless it on the weekend.The turth is that my parents are rich and I am not proud one bit of it. I want alot of stuff but now I know I need to earn it. So I ask my dad to paid for the car and I will paid for the mods. So far my mom made it a pain to get this 50k miles ca18det 240sx that I found. She wants me to drive an Xa sicon but my dad like my car better hopefully I will get it soon. cys19 I think you brought out a really good point about kids with rich cars.

I hate rich kids with cars but if my parents were rich and would buy me stuff you bet your *** I'd take it. Just don't be one of those kids that writes a shop a check and drops the car off. I don't see the point of personalizing your car if you let someone else do it.

ANdrave, jesus christ. STFU. WHy do you care what other people do? Who cares if other people have shops do their own work, maybe they want to have a customized ride but don't know where to start. I mean come on, you sound like the typical complainer that complains about everything. Just don;t worry about other people mang, I realize your fed up with RICH KIDS using their parents money to buy things. Thats great, the oppertunity is there for them and they took it. Who wouldn't?
