the search button has taken its toll. so i'm gonna need some input from you guys.

I'm gonna be doing my SR swap relatively soon. I have the engine and everything else needed for a complete swap. Now I just have to decide on what model would fit my budget and style. I've been lurking around and no luck. So here are some of the questions:

*What is the difference between SE, SX, and LE models?

*What were the years that this car was in production?

*... and what is the model of this car?

Thanks in advance.

The 1st picture you put is an s13, made between 89-94. There are two types, the hatchback, and the coupe. The 2nd pic is a 94 s13 convertible, made only in that year.

89-90 had the sohc engine, ka24e91-94 had the dohc engine, ka24de

You should use the SEARCH button next time.

Wait, you said you already have the SR engine, but you have no idea what the s13 or what years it came in???

first time I've ever seen someone get the engine before the car.

The "SX" is not really a model but what people list on auto trader and such when they have to put a trim model for a "base" model.

I'm sure someone else will chime in with more info for the other models, since I'm not too familiar with S13's

the hatchback in the first pic was in production from 89-93. the vert in the 2nd pic, as mentioned, only came in 94. you can also get a coupe model which is basically a vert with a fixed roof which was in production from 89-93 also. as previously mentioned, the 89-90 models came with the SOHC ka24e engine and the 91-94 came with the DOHC ka24de.

as for trims, im not entirely positive but i believe se is hatchback, xe is coupe and le is vert.

Thanks for the info. Appreciate it.

I got the engine before buying the car because the engine was a steal. I just couldn't pass it up.

Actually, there were 240sx convertibles from 92 to 94, with the 94 production run being nothing but convertibles.

There are basicly just coupes and hatches. The only "XE"'s were made in 89 and 90, and that was just what they called the hatchback version.

There are also LEs that are not Verts. That came with leather, that's about the only difference in LE and SE on those.
