Ok i am installing my meth kit in my 97 Kouki. Its a Labonte Meth Kit not that it matters. Basically i want to install the pump and the tank in my trunk. I am concerned with mounting them into the trunk so that it would be against the rear seats but still in the trunk. i am concerned that if i drill and mount it there i might puncture the fuel tank does anyone have the size of the fuel tank, or pictures of how they mounted their meth tanks ?

How big is your tank?
where in your trunk?
If your realy concerned about puncturing the tank just take the bolts you where planning on using and flip them so the threads are up and tack weld them in place. I mounted mine where the rear seats used to go.

bolt it to your seat...remove the rear upholstery and run bolts through the skeleton back of the seat...replace fabric and now you have stock with meth

it will leak. the tank has to have a bleed whole at the top ( usually the lid) so that when the pump is sucking it doesnt collapse or try to collapse your tank. it makes it easier on the pump. so either your seats are always up or always down. sometimes, like on my tank, the threads where the lid goes on will be flat so that air can enter the tank through the flat spot.

you could prob put a check valve on it. I've used some really nice HHO check valves for a couple things, bet one could be used to plug a hole in the top of that and tank sealed with silicon.

yes it depends if it is pressure released by the threads"(]" of the cap or if it is a seperate hole

you could always bolt it to the inside verticle section in the trunk that runs parallel to the back seat. I dont know how you plan on filling it if its on the seat, that will be a tough squeeze and tilting the seat down could result in spilling flamable liquids all over the inside of your car.
