I am going to attempt an ls swap into a 90 240sx hatch. Any suggestions or tips I dont really know were to start. Right now I am pulling everything off the 240 to paint the chassis. But other than that I dont know were to go or what type ls to put in there or how its going to sit in the bay. Any help would be very useful.

Thx in advance,Dai

BTW does anyone need a Cheap REDTOP SR20det with a new t25 on it???

I am in the process as well of either a ls1 or 2jz swap. the ls1 is a great choice for lots of NA power. But I am leaning to the 2jz because of my love of the inline 6 engines (7mg, rb, so on). Right now I am tearing the car down.

Check out this site for a dvd coming soon:http://store.driftingshop.com/engineswapdvds.html

But most important search this site and google for more info. It can be an easy swap if you do your homework.

Good luck.

How is an LS1 unreliable? Its probably one of the BEST engines ever produced. Where is your proof that they are unreliable, I would love to see it? This is truly one of the dumbest things I have ever heard.

Like its any different from your fanboyness of an almost 15 year old engine.

Oh wait...they're not spewing misinformation....

i would think the 2jz would mount better. there are kits available to make the mounting easier. http://tech2motorsports.com/products.php?c=2&s=13

the LS requires the firewall to be pushed in by the transmission area.although, both has a degree of difficulty that you must be willing to deal with. ofcourse, depending on your skill level and experience. but well worth the effort.

You should go with the 2jz because the ls1 is soooo unreliable

not to mention, if you pop a 2jz, a new one is only about $1500 and takes a day to swap out lol

this especially thanks to the 1-side rule:only 1 exhaust manifold/downpipe/intakemanifold/valvecover/etc...
