240sx lighted foot area

so my mom got a cube and i went with her to help move shlt and at night i noticed the foot area lights up, im like "thats f***ing cool, i wonder if i could put that in my s13"

does anyone know if you can put this in ur s13 easily? i have no idea how that system works or anything, i just think itd be neat, yeah maybe alittle ricey but its OEM nissan though, and itd make finding my phone alot easyier at night because i always drop it and the overhead light creates shadows that make it worse,

anyways heres what it looks like, it rotates though colors, (red yellow blue green etc)

yeah, but i need something to light up my floor, because im carrying a flashing in my car, i have a hid bulb in my overhead light but gtr seats cause terrible shadowing at night, i look like a retard at a stop light, sometimes i even have to get out and search for my phone, yeah i get alot of looks then.

I actually did this mod to my S14 and I used oem lighting not an led and it actually looks and is perceived as stock and that is what I was going for.

I just ran a positive and negative wire from the dome light to each foot well and got 12 volt sockets and bulbs from pepboys mounted and done. I also put little plastic covers over the bulb because people will kick it.

Not that hard good luck.

I though of doing just lighted foot wells that connect to my dome light (like stated above). A lot of newer cars have it and its kinda cool.

Would be funny to wire up an AC converter in your car and plug a strobe those spinning colored party lights. Put your windows down and look all serious at a stop light a night then turn on the music really loud, turn on the lights, and start dancing all crazy in your car. Then when it turns green, turn it all off and drive normal lol. I should do it and make a youtube video...

I love the stock lights, I have a freind with a coupe that has the stock foot lights. I was all "WTF wheres mine?" I guess they dont come with the Base models. only seen them in 240's with at least auto windows and locks.

I went to the junkyard and picked these up out of a wrecked s13 that had them.

kinda kool you can put one of those bright LED lights in them.

Checked to see if they would fit right in my car and they go right in. there are these little rectangular cuts that are in the kick panel for the ECU on the passanger side and the upper pannel below the steering column on the driver side.

Ive had them for like 4 months now, just have to wire them up, ive been to lazy. but this thread has inspired me once again.
