I'm not sure exactly which coilovers these are, or how to take the assembly apart.

I did some online research and emailed Bozz in Haywayd(~30 mins away) a rep. they said they can order the part(s) necessary for a rebuild. He didn't give me an idea of how much it would cost for parts or labor. But they said it would take about 2 weeks to finish everthing

About how much am I looking at for a rebuilt front coilover? Would I be able to rebuild the coilover with basic hand tools?

Here's the coilover. It looks like the boot was pinched and debris nicked the strut rod and broke the seal.

I just took the assembly out and will look for local shops(bay area) that can rebuild it. If I get enough responses, I will be back with an update(s).

thanks for reading

Ok, so the actual strut cartridge can be rebuilt? I thought rebuiling coilovers means putting in a new strut cartridge(seen new cartridges for $300 from Japan site).

Thanks for the repsonses. I passed by the place I picked up the coiovers and a rep will call me back and give me numbers of shops in Socal that can fix a blown strut for about $100.

How would I remove the strut cartridge? I took off the camber plate, I can't remove the round plate that hold the cartridge in the housing. I tried a monkey wrench.

If I could remove the strut, I could just send the strut to get rebulit, possibly saving some money.

OK, I finally took the coilover assembly apart. (first time using a torch)

On the strut sleeve it says OOBSOS SO2A and under it it says 0300. I haven't removed the strut cartridge.

The rep from where I bought them from hasn't called back. I will call him back again tomorrow if he doesn't contact me today for w/e reason.

Anyone know of any shops in the sf bay area that would rebuild a strut?
