I am picking up a 240sx this week and had some questions about the knock sensor. The guy said that it was spitting out a knock sensor code on the diagnostic. I have about an hour and a half drive to pick up the car and the same distance back. Is it safe to get this far with a bad knock sensor? Am I going to damage anything internally? Thanks.

Well, I guess that depends on if the knock sensor is actually picking up knock or if its just sending a bad signal.
If its sending a bad signal then it should be fine, but probably down on power (ECU will pull timing), if its really knock, you should either retard the timing, or pick up a gallon of Xylene (or other octane booster) to try to mitigate the knock til you get it home.
