240sx: J30 VLSD install in a 95 240sx

Today I installed my J30 LSD in myne 240sx se.I hope it is good as people say.

Not true. The only way an s13 has abs is if it has the HICAS gizmo. ABS was its own seperate option.

However, in an s14, the lsd and abs came as a package. Go look for any year s14 with abs, and you will have the lsd.

This means, all you owners who did that wheelspinning test(myself included), you wasted your time.

hey dima

I have a 95 240sx w/o ABS. I just got my J30 LSD but when we tried installing it, the driveshaft didnt properly allign with the carrier bearings. Did you come across this problem? Im located in jersey too, and if u dont mind, can I see how yours looks? email me at [email protected]

I hate to ask this but i hear people saying hicas. i know im going to regret asking this but what is it, and from what im hearing it seems to be a rareity on cars. Anyway take it easy guys.~Jon

HICAS was a option for the S13 that used a four wheel steering system. if the car had HICAS it also came with ABS brakes and a vlsd. some like the 4WS, some dont. not good for drifting

Okay, isn't a VLSD bad for drifting and an LSD good for drifting. I've just bought a 98 240sx SE w/o ABS, do i have an LSD?
