I am completely fed up with the discusting interior of my car. I'm sure it must have looked nice back when it came fro mthe dealership, but the glove box, the carpet, the crack in the dash, and those discusting door panels made of carpet material . . YUCK!! Well, anyway . . my question to everyone is . .what's the best interior of a 240sx you've ever seen? I want to make my interior really nice so I need something to work off of and look at to get ideas as well as products. So far all I've replaced is the shift boot, and am ordering a brand new carpet for my hatch for about $140 in the color black . .I want the interior to be either all black or black and blue . . I bought the interior paint from Auto Zone to applyt to the doors, because the original paint is all scuffed upp. As for the door carpet insert . .there's a guy who sells those in vinyl for $40 I believe, so I'm gonna contact him and get that. Please shed some light on this situation. As far as interior parts . .I wanna stick with one or two companies, preferabbly nismo steering wheel, shift knob, etc. sparco torino or milano seats . . sparco racing pedals . . . an ebrake handle, an e-brake boot . . preferabbly some leather . .in black... I'm going to eventually throw a blacktop sr into the car, so i'l lhave to replace the gauge cluster and a few other things . . but please guys . ..list some hot products and post some pics that will give me some ideas .. . cause i can not deal with the interior of my car . .I'de rather be standing outside lookig at it than sitting inside and feel whatever's hidnig under the carpet seats on my back . . .HELLPPPPPP

PS - The rear seats . . .can anything be done to those or should I just remove them since I'm gonna get a custom stereo install anyway? and will use that space for amps and what have you.??

Id say, if you can find one, put in a nice black leather s14 interior. I've seen that in a couple s13s online, and damn it looks sweet. As for the doors and glove compartment, the vinal will probably be okay.... and the ebrake/shift boot type stuff, theres a stickey up there that has some pretty sweet lookin ones...

post pictures when you start working on it!

I agree, metal is sexy.. Just tear out the dash and fold a piece of aluminum and cut holes into them to hold your gauges.

Haha, you guys are definately crazy. I have the s14.5, whether you believe me or not . . .really doesn't matter does it? I have a video camer thats only compatile with Windows 98 and millenium, I am running windows xp so I have to get a new camera . . and I'm not going to waste my money on a digital camer just to satisfy you guys right now . . I'm gonna spend that money on the interior of my hatch and then . .one fateful day . .I'll post a ton of pics, maybe in a few months. Just chillax . .and have faith.

As for the carpet . . just go to a search engine and type in 240sx carpet . . you'll get at laest 5 or 6 reliable sites. The cheapest I've seen is 120, but the one i'm getting is about $140, i'll find the link and post it..

ps - the carpet is just for the passenger cabin, not the hatch. THey do have complete ones for the coupe tho . . confusing is u ask me, cause they dont even mention the hatch there . .just the coupe

If I gut the interior . . I'll have to vacuum it good, then clean it, and then maybe paint it . .if not paint it . .I'll definatley need to clean the crap out of it real good. And what color will it be any way? If I paint it . .I'd like it to match with the rest of the interior.

it'll be the same color as the rest of your car...unless it was repainted...then it'll be the color it used to be
