So I've done research upon research on this and found everything on how to do the 240SX intake swap on the KA24E engine for 95 and earlier KAs, but I found nothing for OBDII KAs, 96-97 trucks. well I bit the bullet because i needed to make room for the support tube for my coilovers and decided to just do it and if it didn't work I would return it back to the way it was and figure something else. after everything was installed I did get a MAF code and realized I had 2 wires crossed. once that was fixed it ran like a top. I still have to finish the intake tube to the air cleaner and reroute the vacuum lines though. the complete intake and sensors are off a 90 240SX, the air cleaner is bottom part v-6 HB/pathy and top part 240 with the 240 MAF. I will have to finish this up when I get back home but wanted to show it could be done. :dblthumb:

I plan on doing mine next weekend. How long did it take. Mind sharing wiring to swap to the 240 maf and what all needs done wiring wise. I have 240 maf, ecu, intake rail injectors etc.

when I did mine I wasn't in any hurry, I did it over a couple of days. I'm sure it can be done in a weekend with time to spare. big thing is to mark all connectors and hoses on both sides.

I am still using my original ECM, so I am still OBDII. there are 5 vacuum hoses that feed off the fenderwell to the t-body/ intake from the original, mark those and connect hoses accordingly. I mulled over this for about 2 hours to figure this out, it hit me when I looked at the vacuum hose harness around the t-body for the truck it just came together. I would suggest connecting a long vacuum hose to the SCV before installing the lower plenum though, it was a PITA to reach in there to connect it. I used the vacuum switches from the truck also.

sensors I used from the 240 were IAC-FICD, IAC- , TPS, MAF, EGR, EGR-BPT, PCV and housing, AIT (on the air cleaner housing), fuel rail, injectors, fuel regulator, and from the truck I used the coolant temps, EGR temp sensor,
get wiring diags from the FSMs on here, this will make it easier for wire connections, for the MAF I connected black to white and white to black which cleared the MAF code. for the EGR tube to the exhaust manifold I cut it and connected with a hose because it went to a header and for whatever reason neither tube (truck or 240) would connect together. on the manifold side it needs to be at least 6" long to keep the hose away from the manifold heat. EGR side is about 1-1/2". I also flipped the PS hose at the pump for better access for the t-body to air cleaner.

I know there is more, but I can not think of the rest of the top of my head. I will update more as I look at the diags.

Thanks that cleared a few things up. I am eliminating my egr completley so I won't have to worry about that.

Well did my swap today. Fires up but idles super rich lots of smoke due to fuel. If I pull the fuel pump fuse idles perfect but dies if give it any gas. What did I wire backwards??? I eliminated egr And Dont have the vacuum solenoids hooked up.

No. Gunna try installing the Truck maf into 240sx housing with factory truck ecu. I also noticed my tach dont work with 240 ecu.

Put my ecu in with truck maf. Truck won't even try to run. Might just throw stock back on until have more time to mess with it. Need my daily back.
