When i start my S13 and it is in park or neutral it revs at 2000 and gradually moves up to around 3000. when i drop it into drive it drops to about 1500.any suggestions?

sounds like ur throttles r open check that ur butterfly is clossing all the way other than the cables it coul be abad MAF

Thanks for the suggestiongsI am pretty sure that it is closing all the way MAF is mass airflow filter i am guessing?

yes, MAF is mass airflow filter/sensor. I had the same problem and i just cleaned it with some brake cleaner and it improved a bit. Also take your Idle Adjusting Valve off and clean it with carb cleaner, you will have a lot of crap coming out, mine did. alright, i will try it, my problem is that i live in canada and it is too cold to do anything outside, next month i have shop so that is when i will be doing the work
