HELP HELP HELP

Goodday to all

i have a 1989 240sx, im having some problems, any help would be appreciated. the car would start and idle as normal at about 1000rpm, now on a cold morning when i brake for a corner or jus brake, the idle dies to about 500 or on a cold cold morning, the car shuts off, now this only happens when braking, ive checked with the auto electrician, he suggests it maybe the MAF sensor, please help, thanx

Isn't normal idle rpm like 650? How does your brake pedal feel? Any lower or harder than before?

nah for this car the normal idle is about 800 and goes up to 1000 when it warms up, and nope the brakes feels just right, no problems with the brakes, thanx

Then your car is not ideling normal. Check the check valve on the power brake boster.

check valve, which one is tht , can u plz assist me in which one tht is

also i forgot to mention, when i accelerate rapid from a normal idle, the engine dips and then picks up

well i checked the check valve, it seems to be ok but ill replace both the hose and the valve just to make sure, now another problem i am encountering, the car idles about 1500 in neutral or park, but whn i shift to drive or reverse, it drops to 1000, what is the cause of this thanx

Maybe a vacuum leak, or try unpluggin the MAF and see how well the car runs

theres a vacumn hose that runs behind the engine right under the wiper blades, on the firewall... track it down, then run up and down it for cracks or loose connections. this is the same thing my 240 was doing.
