Okay, So I found this 240SX thats up for grabs, I have wanted one for a very long time and this is looking like the one, guy im buying it off of is selling it for 650$, the bad parts is he said the Frame Rails are looking "scary" to me that means they are rusted pretty bad, my question to everyone here is do you think its worth putting the money into?, there is other things like the Strut Towers that needs reapairs, and the unibody he said is shot. so I give all you permission to tear this up and give me the verdict. Thanks.

give him 500 , beat the piss out of it and part it out for profit...or use it as parts and find a clean shell... with 5 speed stuff already would be a bonus. depends how much money you have to play with. as it sits... i wouldnt put a dime into it, ive been down that 4 year road with my first 240, take it from my experience. outside looks clean, such a shame with these cars.

Welcome to Nico. I would but it as a beater/ part it out. Fixing rust isnt easy and is nto fun at all. Frame rails and the strut towers with rust? Not good. Get some better pictures.

I'm gonna go with everybody else and say use it as a parts car, take whatever you can, then part out the rest. If you end up getting rid of those SE wheels, I'll surely take em off your hands

Also Welcome to Nico

id say find another one... cuz if you keep it, youll wanna fix the rust, 5 speed swap and probably a tune up...

your not guaranteed to sell all the pats either, id say but it, keep the KA and with the money you make buy a shell w/ dash and all and buy a 5 speed also...

but if you do this it will be a gamble... wat id do is wait a little and buy one thats 5 speed and runs... i kno that is gunna be hard to wait, but patience is a virtue...

If you can get it for $500 then go for it. Save up a little more and find a shell, I picked up my rustless coupe shell for $300, sometimes you just get lucky. I actually got really lucky though... girl driven, nothing was ever removed besides the stock cassette player and the motor. Got it from some dude that owned a shop, he was going to junk it and he only asked for how much the junkyard was going to give him. Which was bulls*** because he would of gotten around $40.

I would say pass on it or offer him $200 its not worth any more than that if the rust is as bad as it sounds

The unibody is shot? Haha it must be pretty bad to make a statement like that.

When it's that bad, it's not safe. I suggest parting it out.

Okay, so I got more news, instead of giving the guy cash, he told me he would do a car swap, my 2001 Impala for his 240SX, my impala needs a lot of work, it starts up really rough and takes forever, it also stalls every like 10 minutes or so, the body is in rough shape with bumps and bruises all over and the 2 rear door handles dont work, anyone think its a good swap?

Oh yeah, and the KM on the engine in the Impala is sittin at over 500k

those are "minor" problems tho...the 240 is in a heavy cancer state and going to die soon. maybe you dont get it... you can fix problems like handles, rought starts and stalling but fixing rust and rot is NOT fun, easy, or cheap and 99% of the time it just comes right back.
