240sx HUD (head unit display) question
Has anyone tried to install a head unit display in a 240sx fastback/hatchback?I want to install a HUD in my fastback. What would i need? thx

You need the HUD cluster, HUD reflector (if you feel like cutting your dash and see MPH on the windshield), and wire harness. Make sure the assy is for the type of engine you own. If you have a DOHC you will need a DOHC HUD assy, if is a SOHC...and so on. Search and you will find more about installation,etc.....

Okay thx. I didn't know they made the HUD for the dohc models. Owell. But uhh how would i make it reflect off the windshield? Use a pice of tint i suppose? anywayz thx

Yea i forgot wat it was i knew it was head something display. i guess i messed up.

It will reflect on any windshield. However, during the day, it will be a little difficult to see. A piece of 5% window tint will help out nicely.180sx+silvia=sileighty wrote:Okay thx. Anybody know where to get a piece of that reflective decal that's on the corner of the windshield for reflecting the HUD speed numbers during the day? The dealer does not sell reflectors. The HUD windshields have the reflector built into itself. Last time I checked it was $1300 for just the winshield.
