These guys are actually being kinda nice, so if your gonna get used to Nissans and NICO then calm it down with the bad comebacks. They have every right to flame you at this point of the game. From what I am reading you want to build a drift car, out of a 1500 dollar shell, and you dont wanna spend too much money.
#1. U can pick up a relatively clean s13 (89-94) hfastback or coupe for around 1500.#2. Unless your planning on using used or cheap aftermarket parts, drifting isnt at all cheap.#3. You need to do a little of your own research as far as what is out there in the aftermarket for your car, and make your own educated decisions as to what parts, etc... u may need. #4. NICO is a place where car owners and drivers, and technicians meet and post their issues, problems, pics, builds, and general information about the cars we know and love.#5. There is alot of information you are gonna need to pick through and take in, from what I read of your posts, you have alot to learn about these cars. Dont worry, I didnt know too much about Nissans either when I bought my first one, but once you start getting into them, you wont be disapointed. #6. MOST IMPORTANT: If you are not mecanically inclined, then forget about doing DRIFTING. Drifting is not for the shallow pockets or the feint of heart (lil play on words there). You ARE going to break things and there is a VERY good chance you will hit stuff.
My suggestion is to find a clean shell 90 and up, already equipped with a KA24DE and a manual. Then drive it and check out some drift events. Dont remember where your from but check out wheretodrift.com and there are lots of events to check out and that the best place to get information for yourself, imo.
Good luck and happy drifting.
