Were you trying to lift your car where it's bent in that second pic?

It's going to be a lot more involved than a simple cover up.

haha wow..is this a serious thread? your car belongs in a junkyard with that rust. you dont know what you got yourself into if you really think some side skirts and a quick weld job will solve your problems. you have rot where your subframe connects to the body and your rocker panels are pretty gone near the front which looks to be seperating the frame rails from the car itself. time to find a shell, but i doubt you will listen...

Agreed.

You may think that thats all you have to replace. I'll put my mom on the line that it goes waaaaaaay deeper than what you see. Junk that thing and get a roller.

i dont know about the junkyard comments but surely coilovers should be the last thing on your mind

if you are good at body work or know someone that is, anything is fixable

Your question was answered with the first response! Maybe you should pay attention a little more.

And in the front use the frame rails.

But seriously, Get a new car

Place it underneath the frame rails. Place a wooden block on jack so that you don't damage the rails. Make sure there's no rust on the rails. The jack can buckle and collapse if there's a large amount of rust/corrosion. G/L

See the issue is, ok, that you want to put coilovers on a car, that by the looks of that rust, may not be worth a set of coilovers. I would only jack that thing up to take whatever on that shell you would like to salvage, and find a new shell. That is really the issue here. Jack the car by the front lower rad support. Or by the rear subframe, or get a piece of rubber and put it on your jack and jack from the pumpkin. But the real issue is...ready ready ready...IF YOU CANT FIGURE OUT WHERE TO JACK A CAR UP IF THE PINCH WELDS ARE RUSTED, THEN IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO THINK THAT YOU COULD INSTALL COILOVERS, OR DO ANYTHING ELSE TO THE CAR YOURSELF. This is one of the stupidest questions I have ever read on here. And also some of the worst cancer I have seen on a 240sx. That rust is gonna be deep and very hard to get completely rid of. Best bet...Get a rolling shell less the rust, and move whatever parts off of the car you have now and will save you a headache of a lifetime.

for the fronts: under the front crossmember.

for the rears: on the diff case.

and if you cant get under the car get a low pro jack.

I would put a 12" long 2x4 under the jack so it support more of the weight and wont go through the chassis. You already know about the rust so I wont tell you. Good luck with the fix. I just noticed you're from Calgary also.

That car is useless, meanwhile max out the coilovers.

coilovers are a good idea. A nice stiff suspension is exactly what this car needs to shake off some of the corrosion! Smart kid, think about it... The lightest s13 ever = the fastest NA KA24 ever! Be veeeery careful underneath this car.
