240sx handbreak adjustment

i have a question not really good with the technical stuff on cars. i know how to tighten the handbreak. my question is when i see in car vids of cars drifting they can just pull the hand break and let it down. is their something special that lets them do that? i have tried keeping the locking button down when i pull the handbreak in my car but the tires dont lock as well as they do when i dont hold the button. also is their anything i can do to make the handbreak lock the tires quicker? thanks for you time guys nico hasnt let me down yet.

you can get a spin turn knob for the eBrake and all you have to do is pull the eBrake and than when you let go it will go back down.
