I was trying to figure out if the sx fuel rail will work on the infinity q45 engine. the reason I am asking is because I saw the upgraded fuel rails by border which has injectors as well as fuel rail for a decent price. can someone let me know. as we all know its not many people that produce q45 upgrades so I guess I have to find things that will work with it.

I think the fuel rail may be too small for the Q45. Besides....aftermarket fuel rails do diddly squat. The only time they are an improvement (a very slight improvement) is if your running 700cc injectors. Aftermarket fuel rails are a joke and nothing more than a quick buck for aftermarket product companies.

so what are you saying only upgrade the injectors and fuel pump. I know you bashed aftermarket but what is the remedy. And if so do you know which injectors will fit the Q45 fuel rail or someone that makes them. Also I was thinking of running two independant injectors with the factory injectors with the additional boost. Can you recommend a setup for this. I wouldnt have the two additional injectors kick in until boost kicked in. Let me know

The Q 370cc injectors never operate at more than 55-60% of capacity at 43.4 psi............10 millisesc out of 16.6= 60%. At full on 80% duty cycle the flow is enough for 450 HP.The Q fuel pump is a 255 lph or 60 gallon per hour. This is enough to produce over 600HP.

The JWT NOS package pulls the injectors open for 75% of the time so we know that for at least 15 seconds the stock system can deliver the fuel.

Changing anything in the fuel system will adversely effect the fuel pressure regulation.

Ideally one would want another set of injectors say up on the runners nearer plenum to be totally controlled by boost. That way a separate ecu could trim each cylinder perfectly.
