a 12mm or 14mm wrench or socket/ratchet, a small clamp, some needle nose pliers, some of the brake lube stuff.

You use the 12 or was it a 14mm to get one of the caliper pin bolts free, then rotate the caliper up.

swap out the pads be sure to apply the lube on the back of the pads and between the shims and wherever else the pad comes in contact with the shims.

take the clamp and push in the front piston only. Use the needle nose pliers to turn the piston for the rear only.

rotate the caliper back down and tighten the pin bolt.

12 mm for the caliper sliding pins...

but if ya need to change out the rotors too, u gotta undue the 14mm caliper cage as well...

download the free FSM for torque specs. or autozone.com has a free repair guide for u to look at... if you got a local parts store up there like autozone, you can rent those special brake tools for free as well as a torque wrench, etc.

hi-temp grease should be used to relube the sliding caliper pins as well; mebbe some sandpaper to clean them up really well, rinse, relube... have a small amount of antiseize is nice on the threads for easy removal of future brake jobs.

can of brakeclean to wash the new rotors of the protective anti-rusting oil on them... or just hot soapy water & quick rinse if not in hand...

thx guys,

basically i bought all the tools and brakes+rotors.

the problem i am having is that when i spin the wheel i hear like a metal rub and im not sure why this is happening.

it only occurs like 40% of the 360 degree turn of the rear wheel.

any ideas or is this suppose to happen. i put brake grease behind the rotor , on the hub and on top of the break pads.

whoa there buddy. where are you putting the grease on the rotor? If you're putting any of that kind of stuff anywhere on the rotor, it should just be on that little lip of the hub where it pokes out the hole of the rotor and that stuff should be antiseize.

Is the splash shield rubbing the rotor? Also did you inspect the bearing? Did you check out the shims that the brake pads slide on to see if it was hitting the rotor? Also is the rubbing sound possibly coming from the brake pad rubbing against the rotor?
