I have a 1990 240SX with the KA24E engine. I am losing antifreeze somewhere, but I can't see any visible leaks. I have heard with this engine there is an inherent problem with the timing chain cutting through the block. Is this possible and if so is it repairable?

check your oil, if the oil on the dipstick is milky, then that is your problem. if not, keep looking for that leak.

Yes it could be your problem, you usually hear excessive noise from the from of the engine for sometime before that happens though. Make sure the leak isnt from the water pump weep hole or the heater core before you go tearing down the engine, easy way to tell if its the chain problem is to check your oil. If its milky white then that could probably be your problem if its not the head gasket.
