Having a weird issue with my headlights. My pasenger works on low beam but not on high beam. My driver side works on high beam but not on low beam. I replaced the bulbs to make sure that they weren't the problem. I checked the fuse boxes and wiring. I do not see any problems.

The only common point I can come up with is the headlight switch. Sound about right?

on my 93, the problem was the multiswitch inside the steering column where the headlight control sticks into. it gets worn or dirty and the contact points don't work as well. i have cleaned mine several times, but i think it's finally time for a trip to the dealer for a new one. i've tried junk yards but none around here have them.

it's easy to take apart with a screw driver and just kind of use what you need to get into the plastic box where the little contacts are and clean them up real good with electric parts cleaner or a nail file to rough them up a bit.

I had the same problem with my '92 coupe. After getting a used switch from the dealer it still didn't work. So I had to go back and after rechecking the wires it seems as though rainwater had leaked into the wire and plug which connects the headlights to the main wiring system.

So basically if the new switch doesnt work, check for water in the wires.
