Hey guys before you start yelling at me I have searched and tried all methods of fixing this problem prior to starting this thread. First off I drive a 92 Coupe and the problem is that when the key is on or the car is running the ebrake light operates just fine(when the handle is up the light is on, when down the light is off) but when I turn off the ignition the light is staying on no matter if the handle is up or down which is keeping my turbo timer from shutting off. Please help........Chris

mine does the same thing, but if I restart the car and turn it off the light will go out. I'm assuming it's the ignition switch..

Recheck the installation of any recent electronic equipment. You may need to give them a better ground.

Okay I am looking at the FSM schematics and this is what have.

Power is fed through a fuse, to the dash lamp, then to ground via 3 routes. If any three of these paths close the lamp lights because positive power is not reaching ground. Well actually vice verse but I'm not hear to teach.

1 - The ebrake switch located on the ebrake. Test this with an ebrake and it should read normally open (OL) when not engage and shorted (closed) when applied.

2 - The brake fluid level switch, this is located in the brake res. Unplus the connector and it should real open (OL) as long as the fluid is good.

3 - The bulb check relay, which also receives power from ignition from a second source to pull the relay in. The coil voltage return on its own ground through the alternator. But the relay contact take power from the same source as the two switches above, through a diode, through the relay to ground. If this diode has and relay are failing it can cause ground loops or just a path to ground.

I cant find the relay diode part number but its in your relay box, plugged in at M14 its a normally open relay and it this its the issue
