the nissan we have is a model that i'm told is not in australia, so any information we try to get about it must come from the US,sometimes it's difficult to know who to talk to.my daughter suggested try a nissan car club?but seeing how its not a road vehicle but a purpose built race car i'm not sure who would be interested.

thankyou so much,i have a photo but as i am new to all of this i am unsure how to send it? i suppose the biggest problem is that it appears that there is two models of 240sx and we are not sure which one we have?i was told to look at the front bumper.ours looks like it had pop up headlights.we at one stage tried to get hold of a front bumper and some door seals but gave up in frustration..not everyone in australia is all that helpful.

Welcome to nico and the body style you have is an s13 year range from 89-90 or 91-94 both came in hatchback or coupes. The 89-90 year was a sohc engine (ka24e) and was nicknamed the pig nose because of the front bumper protrudes out like a pigs nose would. The 91-94 year had dohc engine (ka24de) and these years had what is called the shark nose bumper because of the pointed shape of the front bumper. I hope this helps

Yeah, that's an S13 240sx. In Japan there were two S chassis cars, the Silvia, which was a coupe and had fixed headlights, and the 180sx, which was a fastback/hatchback and had the pop-ups like yours. In America, the S chassis cars were called the 240sx and both the coupe and the hatchback were given the pop-up headlights from the 180sx.

Cheers for that, sorry the link doesn't work anymore. The car has performed well so far with the new mods and a good tune. Looking forward to doing some more good times, will try to get another video on line from in car cam.
