Ok I have a '97 s14 and I have a broken door lock actuator rod. I've searched all over dealers and forums, but have had no luck w/ trying to get a replacement. If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's the rod that connects from the solenoid (not the handle,etc..) and unlocks/locks the door for a keyless entry. Any help is appreciated...thanks

you probably cant buy the rod individually, from a dealer its probably only available with a complete actuator assembly. find the rod from a junkyard, or spend the money for a whole new actuator from the dealer.

You think I could just bend up a coat hanger or something? It's hard to find s14s that aren't stripped to the bone at the junkyards..

Speaking of this. could anybody please describe how power lock works on a 93?I am trying to resurrect them but having problems.

As for the actuator rod. the most importat part are the clips, get a metal rod and fabricate one, try copying the other side rod. Its easier that it seems.
