240SX Custom Speaker Enclosures?

Hey there, I have a 1992 Nissan 240SX Coupe. In the back(which is inaccessable in my car), by the rear seats there are these armrest slots in the side panels. I was wondering if they are removable, as I am thinking about putting some 6x9's in each of them if they are. If somebody could help me out that would be great, thanks again.

There's a thread about it, but I think they're in an S14. I'll se if I can dig it up.

FWIW, I'd stay away from the 6x9's as oval speakers aren't as efficient as spherical/round speakers.

Well I just figured that a set of 6x9's would look the best in that area, as I thought 6.5" rounds would only take up about half of the space, and given that money is always tight, I can't afford to waste any buying more sets of good speakers.
