So who got one and who did not? And are we in NM the only ones that are pissed about how this has gone down?

Contact the hitman, see if he has any new news...

Everybody who got shafted of course is mad. That's why if we as a group are going to make our hobby thrive, we need to learn from this and take the burden of responsibility upon ourselves to organize our own meets, conventions, and get togethers.

This guy has gone too far. He is majorly avoiding now. My message posts are getting erased on the NV forums! We should unite in this. How dare he take advantage of this community!?

Who is the owner/moderator of the NV240 board?

I *may* have a little pull with them (unless, of course, it's him)...

EDIT - Never mind. It's owned by Douglas Schmidt, ICE Performance.

Not cool.

My cashiers check cannot be stopped cuz it was cashed out already by him. So seriously I am all about going after him. I hate to say we should set an example but we should so that others do not think they can do this again. I am thru thinkin 'oh he seemed to be a nice guy' and thru 'giving him the benefit of the doubt' and definitely out of patience. He has had ample time to send some sort of communication to somebody somewhere sometime. Yet he chooses not to. Yes guys, it is a choice, and it is also his choice to erase any public messages to him and a choice to ignore phone and e-mail. You should give it a try on the NV forums. I printed them out too. I hit 3 or 4 different sections and all have had my messages erased. What am I supposed to think now? And all the while he is an active poster on there about parties and the like. If I were him I would consider defending myself.Yeah I am blowing up over 200 bux but not my 200 bux. I am ragin pissed because he took my members and fellow 240sx'ers hard earned money. How did he earn the right to keep it? I feel like a mother on a rampage for my children were taken advantage of. So I want to take further action. I want answers and I want our money back.

All concerned: This will be the thread in which all participants in this matter can coordinate their legal efforts.

Welcome NV/NM/AZ members, please feel free to share info via this thread.

NOTE: Keep in mind that this thread is "public domain", so you MAY want to contact each other OFF-BOARD. But please chime in if you are seeking a refund or restitution in this matter.

Lastly, please refrain from commenting if you are not directly involved - we're all aware that this was a crappy thing to do, and that's why I'm providing space to all who were victimized by this person.

Just so you're all aware it's not Doug that's deleting threads off of our local (nv240sx) forums, but another mod.

I've asked him (the other mod) to stop since it seems that doug doesn't want to pay attention to all of your emails/calls (despite my attempt to call attention to them), so maybe the messages on the board will push him a bit more.

Yep - I saw that. I won't be posting there, as it just gets deleted.

To the mods of NV240, all I can say is that covering for the transgressions of another makes you complicit in their crimes.

Joel (and others), I know you guys are good people - but if you're AWARE that the owner of the board is hiding behind you and other moderators, perhaps you should find another board to moderate.

To reply yet again, Doug owns the nv240sx.org domain name, but beyond that, he doesn't have any involvement other than being a mod on the forums.

Joel is gracious enough to provide space to host the site/boards and to run them. Either way, as you've realized joel/james have made it very clear that there aren't going to be any posts on our boards regarding peoples attempts to get their money back.

Now that you've got all the info together, I think you're starting to go about it the right way. Remember also, we've all told doug that he needs to speak to you (etc., etc., etc.), but that's about all we can do.

I regret that this has gone this far but I probably will be consulting a lawyer tomorrow to see what can be done about that. Hopefully when I check my mail tomorrow afternoon, I will have a nice refund check waiting for me. I mean NV is not that far away. Mo-
