My friend has a 91 240sx, 5 speed. I put a different transmission, new clutch, throw-out bearing, and pressure plate in it for him. When we fixed it the gears grinded when going in. A week later, we put a new slave cylinder on it and bled the clutch. The problem is the pedal has no pressure, when pushed it goes to the floor, like pops to the floor. We pumped it a couple times and the pedal gets fairly any pressure then goes back to the way it was. We started the car to see if it would go into gear and it wont go into any gears. Please help if you can, I appreciate it.

Could be that air could still be trapped in some of your lines. I know you've bled it and all but it's definitely worth a second shot. The smallest amount of air in your lines could mess with the whole clutch system. Then there could be the master clutch cylinder, slave, or something else. I've had that problem before and we solved it by re-bleeding my lines. Car won't go into gear if the pressure of the clutch is malfunctioning. Hope that helps ya. Good luck and best wishes!

If it isnt air in the lines id try looking to make sure the throwout bearing is properly attached to the clutch fork..

also .. if you still have the clutch dampener.. bleed if from there also .. or throw that s*** out and run the line to the slave directly

this happened to me!

ok so what i did was I replaced the master slave cylinder!only because mine was leaking all the clutch fluid! the line was out too..

first check your clutch fluid line. if you dont get a leak then that is fine.

but if not it will be the master slave cyllinder. :-[

Sorry... hope this helps!

We changed the clutch master cylinder, it was leaking down the firewall. The clutch didnt work for a while but now it works great. Thanks for the Suggestions Now the only problem is it grinds going into first and second gear. I can hear when i press in the clutch of something moving for about 2-3 seconds then it stops. When the noise stops, the gears wont grind going in.
