I thought someone on here might be able to help me. a few months ago my clutch disc wore out and exploded like they tend to do. so i thought no big deal and went and bought a clutch and pressure plate and bearing and everything and then took out the transmission and but it in. a few weeks later i got on it a little. i only let it get to about 6500 rpms and the clutch went out. i had to take out the transmission to find that the the throwout bearing had come out too far and got stuck on the end of the shaft in between the end of the shaft and the pressure plate. this has happened 3 times and im sick of taking out the transmission i dont understand what is going on. anyone know why my throwout bearing keeps comming out too far? please hit me up.

Hey whats up man same exact thing happen to me, did you replace all the components of the release system, when u did tha clutch?? release sleeve, retainer springs, and possbly fork. I replaced all of that and mine now works fine. make sure you lubricate the inside groove of the release sleeve. also are you sure you pressed on the the tob correctly, because any small discrepency in how it sits could damage other components.

well i replaced the disc pressure plate throw out bearing and the holder spring and fork spring. the fork and the cylinder that fits into the bearing doesnt look bad though. you think i should still replace those?

Did you reassemble according to the repair manual instructions? Did you get some lithium grease and pack the to bearing sleeve? Sounds like a assembly issue.

yes... the sleeve shaft and fork is greased maybe the pressure plate just isnt strong enough its a nameless clutch from autozone... i got a exedy im about to put in this weekend. so maybe that will work. also i didnt know the torque spec for the pressure plate.
