HELP! I just installed an Iceman CAI and the engine light came on. I took everything off and the light is still on even with a stock setup. What do I do to get that light to turn off? Thanks!

chances are, your car is freaking out from the added air. try resetting the ecu (unplugging the negative termanal from your battery) and that should fix the problem.

I have the check engine light on also. does removing the -battery cable reset the ecu every time? what causes this light to come on?

Thanks! One more question... I seem to have 2 loose wires. 1) The sensor looking thing that regularly connects to the stock airbox and 2) The really small wire that used to connect to the stock air piping. Do you know what I should do with these? Thanks again... =)

removing the negative battery cable cuts power to everything in the car. leave it off for 10 minutes or so.

the CEL comes on becuase the ecu is throwing a code at you that could present problems

"the sensor looking thing that regularly connects to the stock airbox"are you speaking of the temperature sensor?

"really small sire that used to connect to the stock air piping"umm... plug for the MAFS?

should make sure the MAFS wire is plugged in. some people coose to re-insert the air temp sensor into the airstream somewhere, some leave it floating around in the engine bay.

My CEL just recently went off. I went to http://www.240sx.org and looked on their FAQ's under the ECU and what not. Followed all of the instructions for using the diagnostic and it ended up being the rear O2 sensor.

I suggest you do the same, it may help target what is wrong.
