I would like to know if you swap the CA18DET engine in a 240sx that used to have a KA24E if the engine mounts of the KA would hold the power of the CA

Oh sure. I would get new mounts though. If you use the KA mounts I 've heard your shifter will sit a little to the left. You can get CA mounts too. I don't know where though, you will have to search for them.

but dude have you ever perform a CA18DET swap in a 240sx ?? but do you think I have to but a standalone in order for my car to start ?? because I've heard that it won't start with the CA18DET computer linked up to the 240sx harness is it true or is there sommething I could do ?

You do not need to buy a standalone. Look in the stickies at the top of the page. It will tell you exactly how to wire the motor to the 240sx harness

I just purchased NISMO CA mounts. Got a pretty good deal with motor and transmission mounts. You should not need a stand alone unless you plan on swapping to a different turbo. When you swap to a different turbo, the stock timing/fuel maps will be to far out for what the SAFC will tell it.

Ka mounts work or you can use the hockey puck method

I got mine from EAT motorsports. I had to specifically ask them if they could get them. It took them 3 weeks to get them to there store and their currently on there way to me. I would totally get them from them again. I paid a bit over 200 for NISMO CA mounts and NISMO trany mount.
