Sooo i got a car obviously a 240sx came with a sr20det red top which is legit.. But here is my problem

It ticks bad fully built block and a oem rebuilt head.

Its a tick coming from the number 1 cyl on the exhaust side. Its upper all the way so its safe to assume its a lifter i assume i dont believe its a exhaust leak because its super loud and it isnt a knock i know what that sounds like.

So its safe to assume its a lifter but holy crap there expensive i have a cometic metal head gasket and arp headstuds.

Can i reused a metal gasket if not no problem i just assume it safe because of the metal gasket part if not no prob.

And i have a weird issue i cant get the turbo to hit 7 psi like stock it had a manual boost controller that made this crappt godspeed hit 22psi everytime t28 btw so i removed it and ran the vac line oem style now it hits 14 everytime...this car is driving me nuts btw i tried turning the boost controller up and down all the way no change.

I just want stock boost because i cant hit full boost without it chugging out in third gear first is fine second maybe 5500 third cuts out at 4500 im so frustrated. I just need some guidance ive searched and searched but no o e seems to have the same issues

Btw idle afr is 17.8 lean quarter throttle is 14.7 full throttle is fully rich my pistons are cp 8.1 not sure if it matters but yea no tune at all

I have a headache trying to read that. Wow.

I'm not too privy to the hydraulic lifter system in SR's but i do know that if you do not prime the cylinder head with oil after its been drained of oil, or the engine has been flipped upside down, you'll get air in the system.

For your boost pressure issue, where is your wastegate getting is positive pressure source from? Remove the boost controller completely and run a line from a boost source to you wastegate. See if the pressure issues go away.

Also check to see if you have an aftermarket wastegate. The spring inside may be a 14lb spring, not 7lb.
