Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with bras for their S13. With the number of long road trips I've been making over the past several months, and the amount of rock chips I've been getting from them I would like to get something to protect the front end during these drives. Thanks for any help.

I've only seen it on the 91+ style bumpers. Good way for cheap protection, just don't want to leave it on too long or your paint will fade (if it hasn't yet). Might wanna look into clear bras? 3M makes some, and there's a bunch of other companies that make a special clear coat type protectant for the whole car if you got the dough. Otherwise stick with the traditional leather/clear film bra or be ghetto like these guys and let your bumper chip to hell.

Mesh is for the radiator/intercooler... bras are for the bumpers

bras don't look good on ANY car, let alone these 80's nissan abominations.

I have a Lebra on my 89 for quite some time, is in very good shape and only use it for long trips. Yeah, is not really hot looking (unless you are talking about a real bra and Jelo....)but it does protect your front end, specially the bumper and headlight cover. Im getting a new paint job right now and will not be embarass of straping that baby on and keeping my car looking good, I just dont drive my car very far anymore, just to work and the roads are in good shape.....

More constructive response:

here are my tits:

I used it to hide my chipped paint.

Good: actually looked better than my flaking yellow/brown bumper

Bad: Will lead to rust if you live in area that rains a lot (bra's will do this).

I can sell you mine for like $30 shipped .Good: Nissan Factory OEM Leather for 89-90 front bumper

Bad: -No screws for fenders - I just used nails and "tucked" them in between fender and fender lining-One of the "hooks" fell out - I used heavy duty velcro to hold it together

p.s. I know this is not b/s/t forum, I'm just trying save text by posting here .

Heh, I know, I personally don't like the look of them so much on the car, but as I said in my original post, this is for my long road trips so I don't destroy my paint anymore than I already have.

Unfortunately I have a 93, so this wouldn't work for me, thanks for the offer though, the cheapest I've found online has been around $60 plus ship

Any one have any info on Colgan vs Lebra? my roommate swears by Colgan for his Volvo S80, but thats $90.

didn't see colgan's quality 1st hand... but i know that "wolf" was a thicker material than Lebra...

i have lebra & after ~3 years driving 100 miles from NJ to NYC (& parallel parking abuse from other drivers bumping to my front bumper), it has a few tears on it already as well as one of the plastic hooks becoming brittle & broke off...

My review on Lebra versus others.....Lebra fittment is the best of all......nice and tight, the plastic hooks will that hold the bra in the fender well will break afte some time,...but you can call Lebra and they will send new ones out to you free of charge and any other strap or hook you might need......

Bras look ugly on cars imo, but if you want to protect the paint, I guess it's a good idea.

Unless you remove it often, I think car bras are a bad idea. Not only does moisture get in there, but dirt and other abrasive stuff can work it's way in and end up messing your paint up anyway.

Besides, I think they look tacky as hell.

If you're really worried about stone chips, I'd look in to something like the 3M stuff mentioned above (whichever one is less prone to yellowing).

bras are definitely ugly, but it's not about appearance.

i think if you just put it on for LONG drives, it's cool.
