240sx body harness question

hey guys,

first off i want to let you all kno wi have done a great deal of searching for this answer today and yesterday without any real luck. i have had a problem with my sr powered s13. it was a auto now its a 5 speed. did the sr swap and auto to manual at the same time. well i was able to find the info i needed on the reverse lamp but sadly my wiring on the lower harness didnt match the colors it was supposed to be, well thats fine i found the wires using an multimeter and fixed that. my new problem is that i cant find out what wires i need to connect my two speed sensor wires to? i understand the wires are yellow and blue and yellow and green from the lower harness. but do those go into the same color wires into the body harness by the front passenger headlight? or do the go somewhere by the fuse box? my lower harness colors are wrong so im just going to find my two wires and run them to the correct cannon plug which i beleive is e201? from there they run to the tach then get changed into a readible number and off to the ecu, from what i understand. any help is greatly appreciated!!! and just so you know i just got my sr back up and running. fully built sr with a hx35 with custom made twin scroll manifold (made by me!) that works with the AC lol

Look in my signature, I think I covered the wiring for the vss in there. I too went from auto sohc to sr manual and my chassis harness still had the right colored wires.

i read the whole thread. lots of good info in their, my question is the two yellow green wires you say are in the back of the cluster that go to the speedo or ecu, are those wire colors the same on the body harness at the two plugs that are located by the passenger headlight? thanks a lot for the info!

hey, just letting anyone who has the same problem as me know. i found the plug on the body harness that has the wires running up to the dash. the connector is a 4 pin connector, on my car, i heard it was supposed to be eight if it was auto to manual but that wasnt the case here. the wire i was getting continueity on to the dash was yellow with black tracer, that one connected to the cluster that was labled 2P. anyways i hooked up the yellow and black wire and another yellow and blue wire ( that i did not get conitinueity with at the cluster) to the speed sensor in hopes of it working and it did! now the wires do change color from body harness to cluster harness, on the body its yellow with black tracer and yellow with blue tracer and they both change to yellow and green wires at the back of the cluster. but everythign works now! i just gotta find out how to redo my gauges because the needles are slow now that i have taken them off and put them back on lol
