240sx being pimped on MTV's "pimp my ride"

They've finished taping.

My car still has... "electrical problems" with the billion lbs of electronics and other anti-hp goodness.

so when they take that cover off your car at the end i take it you didnt drive it home, still had electrical gremlins. what about the part where you drive it around and they tape you driving the "new" car and you show it to your friends? or was it drivable but they were still trying to get stereo stuff and what not working.

The car probably runs fine as far as driving. Most of the stuff they put in doesn't really effect the wiring except adding more wires. So chances are, it drives but if you turn anything on your entire car will dim. With all the stuff they put in those cars, I'd imagine they'd have to add some sort of bigger alt or better batteries. My friend's stereo will drain his battery in under 10 minutes if his car is off. So with all those tvs, neons and crap, I can't imagine the car running long without shorting itself. Would be funny to see the car light up from faulty wiring though.

Hmm, yea. I would definitately sell all those TV's and whatnots and turbo a rebuilt KA from Ivan.

Accoridng to you they are pimping a fastback?

Not going to try and rant too much but, are you seriosuly thinking its a fastback? I mean if you said that just because they showed a picture of the NFSU 240 your wrong. If you watch closely they opened a trunk. fastbacks dont have a "trunk" they didnt lift a hatch, it was a normal trunk, which means it CANT be a fastback. So it must either be a coupe or an S14

On the bright side: a lot more manufacturers are gonna start making performance parts for 240's since they're becoming more mainstream .

Wow, so you accually won this contest...thats accually pretty cool, Im eagar to see the show now. I wanna see if WCC can accually resit the temptation of putting chrome wheels on a 240. yep 9 est, mtv and a few other networks do something funny with the programming so that people on the west coast can watch it at a relatively good time, because 9 est is 6 pst.

Were you one of the guys I gave info to Brokeas240sx? I'd like to think I'm helpful. Also I'm wondering how it went if that is the case. Because I may get other car requests in the future.

Unfortunately, I applied under other circumstances (you'll know in the show). I did not even know they were looking for 240's, must have been my lucky day. I later found out, way after they've already chosen me that you posted up a thread that MTV was looking for a 240. It's all good though.

Full details will be posted after the show airs on Sunday.

And yes, simply being on MTV is DOPEEEEEE.
