240sx and White Smoke

My friend just purchased a 1991 Nissan 240sx with a 5speed and a KA 24 DE, the only problem is about 1 week after he bought the car it started randomly spitting out white smoke. The car is not overheating at all, and it is not known if it is taking on either coolant or water, but it is smoking white and the car runs fine... just smoking with out burning rubber. please help. The only mod on the car is an AEM Cold Air Cone Kit
