I have a burning question. I have a 1989 240sx hatch -ka24e engine. All stock so far -doing a major re-build soon (check my other post). In my search for wanting a exotic setup I came across variable geometry turbos. I wanted a car with lots of HP and torque but little lag. So i thought about super chargers and the more exotic twin charging systems. But i feel like -from what i have read; a variable geometry turbo would with a very nice and clean install would serve my purposes, look much cleaner and simpler, and be unique and custom.
anybody know if this has been done before? Can it be done? Any info on these VG turbos? And if they work well in 240sx?
As far as i know you need everything custom made, the turbos come off a diesel truck and they are very weak against heat. But i found out that Porsche has built some turbos that withstand the heat.
If anybody is good with turbos or has some relative info I would love to learn a bit more
-my interest is peaked.
