What year 300? Z31 or Z32? Tell you what you can do, you can call your parts store, and they should be able to tell you about amp output and give you the part number. If the number is the same, then they are the same. If it is different, don't get discouraged. They can probably also bring up pictures, check the clocking on the hookups in back and the clocking of the mount points. Also, no one ever said a high output alternator would be easy. Generally it requires custom mounts unless you have your stock alternator strengthened. You can have this done by a remanufacturer. Every good sized city should have one, and if you can't find it under automotive, call somebody who sells Bobcats. Find out where they get theirs rebuilt. It usually costs about $300, but for your purpose is absolutely necessary. My $.02, the Z31 is probably the same part but the Z32 will most likely be different. Since they are both high performance cars, I would be surprised to find out that there would be any difference in output. This is because to increase the output takes a stronger magnetic field, and this would cost more in horsepower. But who knows maybe the Nissan guys thought the Z would have so much power to spare that it would be cool. Hope that helps.
