240sx acting crazy

my 240sx is acting crazy. the car will drive and after a while it will die and wont crank back up. i wait 15 min and then it will cranks right up.i drive it back home and then i t dies again, wait 20 mins and it cranks back up.i just replaced the radiator alternator and it has a new battery and spark plugs and wires.

wait till it dies, pour some water on the distributor, then try it. if she fires up, you need a distributor.

could it be the ignition coil getting heated and seperating causing it not to spark then cools down and thats why it restarts?

a local guy said that my coolant temp sensor woould cause it to think it to hot and thats why it cuts off is this true?

possibly but not as likely. ecm overheat mode does not shut off the engine but rather causes it to run funny.
