240sx "91" Sometimes it starts and sometimes not

Sometimes my car starts right up, other times it just turns over. It always starts after it has been running or the engine is hot. I thought maybe something was wet inside the engine, its bone dry. The engine light has been going off and on as will. When I have oil changes I always change gas filter and have them clean out the carborator. Any Ideas?Thanksblom240sx

check for codes first. i'd suspect something with the cts.
