Hellllo, I was taking apart my suspension today & noticed on the front sway bushing - 1 is a bolt & one is a nut... ???

Is it suppose to be like that - i.e. the one w/ the nut has the stud in the chassis - or did someone else do that to it?

I'm asking because I stripped the nut one (on driver side) & noticed the pass side was already stripped - before I cut the nut, I'd like to know how important that stud it rests on is - i.e. if I **** up cutting it, I won't be able to have sway bars or something.

Thanks guys.

do you mean a bolt that goes through the lower arm? if its stripped, you should be able to cut it no problem. its not too hard, and no, you wouldnt want to cut into the arm

No, I meant the bolts/nuts holding the d-bushing - sorry I didn't say that earlier (depressed last nite, haha).

I'm gonna try and hammer in a smaller nut onto the stripped nut today and see how I far.

whatever you do dont damage the stud!

try and work the nut off. use pb blaster a bolt removal kit and a blow torch.

if you damage that stud you are screwed literally
