240sx 5 lug question

ok i own a s13 and couple of my friends took the front s14 (4 lug) spindel and took the hub off a 5 lug s14 and put it on the 4 lug spindel. heres the question i have the type x brakes and they are the same as the s14 brakes (bigger than s13). so are the spindels the same? cause the mount for the caliper to the spindel is longer than 240sx due the the larger caliper and disc. hopefully some one knows about this.
