240sx/300zx motor?

Hi. I am really new to this.(this being the imports) I am going to buy me a 97 240sx and I am going to buy a 300zx TT motor for it. I want to put it in. there. I was just wondering how hard will it be to drop that 300zx TwinTurbo motor in my 240sx. I swapped a LS2 out. in my V6camaro. took me 4 days to swap. then another 3 days to get every thing hooked up. It was just me. No one to help. Oh yeah I had to swap the trannys out also. No point in having a weak 5 speed in it with 500HP. I am just wondering if it will be just as hard? should I buy a few wrecked 300zx's and swap every thing under the car?

This swap is not taking place this summer. it will not happen until Next summer.

that swap will be a tight fit and alot of custom fab work. if you're gonna shoot for 500, might want to consider any of the more common 240sx engine swaps ca/sr/rb if you must do an engine swap. Otherwise I'd suggest building up the KA since you've already got a fairly new 97 in there.

very true..otherwise get the Skylines RB26DETT , that sh** would rip and give yu plenty of power and match up alot easier and plus the skylines motor is way better than the 300zx

I know it wouldnt be an easy swap but ive never seen a 240 with a vg swap atleast around here, it would be different.

The RB isn't necessarily a better engine than the VG. JUN has gotten 1000ps out of the VG back in 91 and it's a marvelous engine. Just it's big. Do more research on what your needs are before dumping what I'd estimate to be $10k+ into an engine project.

just buy a wrecked z32 and swap it, my friend did it and its a great fun car to drive. Yes its not easy but it beats being a sr bandwagon person. Not saying Srs arent good motors because they are but you need to do what YOU want to do because in the end its your car.
