240sx 2nd gear went out!! help!!

Hey guys, my beloved 240 was running perfect until... Around 3 days ago I pulled out of my driveway and put it in drive, as soon as 2nd gear kicked in it started reving as if it were in Neutral. I had it looked at by my brother and he said my 2nd gear went out. If someone could tell my how much this would cost it would be much appreciated. Thanks

its an automatic im assuming. from my experience it seems to be the transmission is slipping or just gone bad. there 2 way to fix it either rebuild it or a use/new transmission. i think its about 900 install for a used one and not to sure about rebuilding! good luck

Now is the perfect time for that 5spd swap everyone loves so much

You can temporarily use some Lucas Transmission fix. Its super gooey and thick, helps to temp band-aid the issue.
