IF you have the SR20DET then yes you could have the 6-speed from the S15. That and the speed sensor and such arnt in the S15 transmission there in the bell housing of the differential. IMO keep the KA24DE and make it a 5-speed or swap the SR20 and use its 5-speed.

If you still want to use the 6-speed im not sure of the cost as i never cared to have or use one.

I'm sure others will chime in as well...

I'm no SR expert, but from what I understand, the 6 spd trans from the S15 Silvia is not worth spending the extra money on. An S15 motorset is very expensive (much more than the S13 or S14 motors). While the engine is of course newer, and likely in better shape, it's not really worth the extra money as the hp bump is small. Also, the 6 spd trans is not as strong as the 5 spd trans.

So, to answer your questions (as best I can).. Yes it is possible to swap in a 6spd S15 trans with that motor into a 240sx. S15 motorsets are usually over $3k vs. $2k for the others.Sure.. it's a good swap.. but maybe not as good a value as the S13 or S14 SR20 or RB20 or CA18, etc...

+1 Go With the 5 speed its stronger. Plus I herd the final drive is the same, so then you dont even get better gas mileage or higher top speed. 5 speed is the way to go.
