240sx 1994 coupe check engine light while shifting gears

well i have a problem every time when i take off and and put into a gear the car check engine like turn on and off when i go into second and the rest of the gears can u tell me where could that problem be need help to fix that problem

whens the last time you changed flids in the engine and transmission?..you might wana start there sire..then let us know what up from there..ps..dont forget to change filters too.

Hey, I had that same problem with my 95 240. Well I had just done a EGR valve replacement and cleaning of the tube, and changed out the O2 sensor while I was at it. Previously i had code 82 show up on my car, so when I started it up check engine light came on and I pulled the same code 82. But here is what I think fixed it. I was having the same problem when when shifting the light would come one. What I did was turn the the knob on the ECU counter clockwise and then clockwise to show the codes and then started the engine. That's BAD, not suppose to do that. Your suppose to repeat the procedure twice. Counter Clockwise, Clockwise, and then Counter Clockwise and then clockwise and then start the engine. I did that and Check engine light never came back on. Hope this helps.

for the most part there are 3 filters..oil/gas/and yes a transmission filter too..more like a pad..depending on what type of transmission ya have..whats the up date on this..find your issue yet?..can ya give us more details?
