240sx 1990: brake problem

well, i ran my car off into a ditch a while back, and just got around to fixing it. i put the whole new suspension assembly on there, but used the same caliper i had on that side. i just put brake fluid in there, but the brakes dont work? i put everything back right. i can pump them and they will stiffen, but when i accelerate and try to stop they dont work?

any ideas?

you might have a blocked brake line or something like that. possibly the metal hard line may have been damaged and is pinched off.

raise the front of the car and have someone press the brakes while you try and turn the front tires. you can narrow down which side or both need to be checked.
