I think I may just look into a second car. However, to the original question. If you want (or need) to use this car in the snow, you need winter tires IMO. One winter I had just changed to my BFG all seasons and was dumped on with 6 inches April 1st. It took my about thirty minutes to get to work two miles away. But with snow tires, I have never had a problem. I could start plowing driveways if my car were just one inch lower (already lowered with eibachs).Having said that though, I have also driven down I-94 in some serious slick weather and could spin my tires (winter) with slight throttle in fourth gear so you do need to be careful, this cars got tons of torque. I stopped on that trip after helping a guy who spun and flipped off 94 in a truck with camper (scary story which involves a dog and a man traveling from Idaho), because conditions were too much for my adrenaline.ABS is great, HICAS can help sometimes, but NOTHING replaces knowing your limits!
