240Fastback ---> 180SX

Did the 180's come with the Silvia front end?

I have seen the taillights, the ones that say RPS13. Is the 180SX's chassis code RPS13?

Anyone have a site that lists all Nissan chassis codes?

What else is different about the 180's in Japan and the 240 HB's here (except for motor and taillights)?

1) No. Special run of Sil-80s were 180SXs with the Silvia front end, they came out after the trend that many drifters had developed of throwing a cheap Silvia front end on after they wrecked the front end of their 180SX. It was cheaper to buy the Silvia front end and bolt it on then to replace their popup headlights.

2) Yes, but they don't say RPS13, those were specialty, most of htem say 180sX

3) Chassis codes are listed in the FAQ if I remember correctly.

4) They had better suspension, most had electric folding mirrors, digital climate control, they all had alloy wheels and LSD, they had cooler seats, a steering wheel that says 180SX on some of them, they also had a plethora of aero options and trim sizes.

i've seen that the rotor and calipers are slightly different also...can you confirm that?

Thanks for the info... I am planning on makin this 240FB a show car, and I am looking at ultra clean styling.

I also have a question about JDM S13 clusters. Are there any differences between the JDM and USDM clusters, other than the MPH - KPH thing? Anyone have pics of these. Thanks.

O yea, for the digital climate control... was their anything else that is different in the center console. Any cool little features or parts?

they are just black. the carbon fiber rps13 pices sticks on with double sided tape and it is a dealer option.

No way, its doublesided tape? LMAO. Its good to see you made it over here from club240 Battle, I enjoyed a number of your posts over there when I was still actively reading it. : )

Also, Jesse, I'll have them pull some calipers and rotors for me, see if they're any different.

To my knowledge nothing other than the digital climate control is different.

Lastly, pleased on't make the S13 a show car, a Honda would be much nicer and most especially cheaper.The only difference in the tachs is that the Silvia/180SX cluster has a higher redline and KMPH.

Hahaha... by show car I mean that it'll be a clean car that I will take to shows (my friend is starting a business and is in need of a show car). I have been autoX'in for a year and planning on tracking my fastback. First mod for the 240: SR20DET swap. So it'll have some balls.

If you do the conversion, and get the tail lights done, please please please buy the 1/4 window glass. i've seen so many guys who did a 180sx conversion and just replaced the back tail piece. go all out and buy the back 1/4 windows that say 180sx on them. all the money you spent on power folding mirrors and tail pieces wont do anything for you if you show the car and the windows still say 240sx on them

the KOUKI tails don't say 180sx on them.....either way, i have the koukis, no power folding mirrors and 240sx windows.....on the car...the 180sx windows are collecting dust in my room.
