Hey i am new to this forum but was seraching online and noticed anytime i got good information about this thing was on this forum, but i need some help!
I have a 1993 240sx with a KA24DE automatic
Flashback 1 week, i was driving down the road heard a bang and the car died. turns out i snapped the exhaust cam right behind the timing gear. Ordered all the parts i need including a new head rebuilt head with cams timing cain gears, and valve cover
I started working on it and decided not to do the lower timing chain because of the labor that is involved. and im doing it in my driveway. But #1 cylinder is at TDC and lined the upper timing chain up just as its supposed to be and the timing marks on the crank pulley match up perfectly with the timing of the cams now (or asbest i could tell) cranked it over by hand to be sure nothign would hit, and i deffinatly have compression cause i coud feel it while cranking over by hand!
set the distributor according to the service manual and the plug wires as they are suppoed to be (1-2-4-3 firing order) checked grounds and connectors (foud one solenoid with no connector to it on the back of the head on the exhaust side? any idea about this??) all new gaskets for anything i took off.
I checked the spark and it is a weak spark that is yellow, dot have a timing light but am going to borrow one tomarrow morning to see if its sparking at the right time, but it should be close. fuel pump is working and has decent pressure comming out. also tried some starting fluid with no hit at all.
My guess right now is spark strength or spark timing, any other ideas im needing this thing to get done soon! thanks for the help!
EDIT: Oh pulled a code off of it... 13 coolat temp sensor?? i dont think it has anything to do with this, also checked i have 12.07v to the coil and 11.0-11.5 Ohms on each injector... so they check out that way atleast, a little more history after i got it i put a new cap, wires, plugs, and fuel filter in it.
