How do you know you have sparks? Do you get explosion and exhaust while it's cranking but it won't hold as soon as you let the key go? Maybe you have a spark testor? I've had mine be really really hard to start after sitting for a couple of months, but I just kept trying and eventually it went. I never got to the point of smelling gas. What some people do when the plugs are all wet, is to pull the fuse for the fuel pump. Crank it a bit to clear out the extra gas, the put the fuse back and try some more. You don't have anything unplugged do you? Like the MAF or distributor or something stupid? Rats nest in the intake box maybe? fuel, spark, air... Did you check your air path? If there is nest, be sure to share a photo!
